Meet Lucie

BPhysio (Bc.) Lucie Daňhelovská

Lucie is a professional Physiotherapist, Sports Massage Therapist, Dry Needling Therapist and a Pilates Instructor and Tennis Coach dedicated to a proactive approach to health.

Lucie graduated from the University of Western Bohemia in Pilsen, the Czech Republic, Faculty of Health Care Studies in the field of Physiotherapy, in 2016. She completed a physiotherapy internship in the Czech Republic and Germany, received training in Sports Massage Therapy as part of her Physio studies in the Czech Republic, and has worked as a Massage Therapist in Australia for over 6 years.
In 2022, she completed a Pilates Instructor training in Prague, focused on rehabilitation.
Lucie played competitive tennis for 12 years and has worked as a tennis coach in the Czech Republic along one of the best tennis coaches in the country, Eva Zahlavova-Herm, who has shaped her approach to both tennis and coaching kids and adults.

Growing up playing sports, Lucie has experienced a back injury that allowed her to understand the human body on a deep level and, having to undergo physiotherapy sessions herself as a teenager, she has become passionate about the anatomy and rehabilitation alongside with helping patients on their recovery journey.
 
For over 9 years, she has been helping patients to recover from sports and work related injuries.
She has worked as a Physiotherapist in Frantiskovy Lazne, Czech Republic; Klinikum des Landkreises Deggendorf, Germany; Kardioambulance Prague, Czech Republic, Physio Professionals, Australia and as a Sports Massage Therapist and a Pilates Instructor in the Czech Republic and Australia.
 
As her career progressed, she started being interested in food as medicine and decreasing risk for injury. She completed her Master Class in Plant‑based Clinical Nutrition by respected Physician, Dr Michael Klaper, in 2022.

Lucie has successfully finished her overseas Physiotherapy degree recognition and is currently waiting for General Registration to be able to offer Physiotherapy services to the Sunshine Coast local community which is her second home.

Outside of work, Lucie is a passionate surfer and loves calisthenics, skiing, dogs, horses, building up meaningful relationships with people and resting in nature.


She communicates in English (fluent), Czech/Slovakian (native/fluent) and German (basics).
